Sunset at Grand Hotel

Yesterday I was with Monique, Mathieu and Francois at the Grand Hotel terrace which has a beautiful view over the Niger river. Many people go there to have an "apero" and watch the sunset.

As soon as the sun had set, plenty of black birds appeared and flew everywhere over the river. On a closer look I saw that it was actually bats:
